I love this little pot. I can put the pot, without the mesh basket, in the microwave to heat the water. Then I put in the mesh basket with the loose tea and let it steep. I drink my tea out of a mug so it makes about 2 mugs. I didn't have an issue cleaning it and I don't have a dishwasher.

I just rinsed it out when I was done and let it dry in my dish drainer. The mesh basket is dense enough for your littlest tea leaves. I bought mine on QVC for less money and it comes in many colors. I would recommend this to any tea lover. Reasonable and functional.

I use my Hario tea pot for not only ice tea but primarily hot tea. I temper the glass with hot tap water while I'm boiling the tea water. Pour out the tap water, put in the tea leaves in the funnel and pour in the hot water. Works great!!
